Hello June! Finding Your Flow in the Sunshine

There is something about June that just feels like a fresh start, isn’t it? The days are at their longest, the local halls we use for our sessions are filled with that lovely morning light, and there’s a real buzz in the air.
As we move into the warmer months, it’s the perfect time to think about how we’re moving our bodies. In the winter, we tend to huddle up; in the summer, we want to expand. Pilates is the ultimate tool for that "opening up" feeling.
The Science of "Summer Energy"
You might find you have a bit more spring in your step lately, and that’s not just the excitement of a bank holiday! Studies show that increased exposure to sunlight boosts our serotonin levels, which is often called the "happy hormone."
When your serotonin is up, your focus and calm usually follow. Combining that natural chemical boost with the controlled, mindful movements of Pilates creates a bit of a "super-habit." We aren't just working on your core stability; we’re essentially anchoring that summer glow into your nervous system.
Why Consistency Matters Now
I know it’s tempting to let exercise slide when the beer gardens and BBQs start calling, but here’s a fun stat: it takes about 66 days on average to truly cement a new habit. By staying consistent through June and July, you aren't just staying fit for "bikini season" (we don't worry about that here!)—you’re actually training your brain to make movement a non-negotiable part of your lifestyle.
Whether we're working on your posture or finding that deep abdominal connection, every session we do in our local community spaces helps keep you mobile and injury-free for all those summer walks and gardening sessions.
A Special Summer Treat for Newbies
I truly believe that once you feel the difference a regular practice makes, you won't want to stop.
So, for the month of June, I’m running a special "Summer Glow" offer:
