About

Hi I am Chantal and the creator of Thank U Pilates.

I’m a mum of one, a wife, and a Pilates Instructor, so I know how busy life can be, but I believe it is important to take care of yourself. This is why I got into Pilates. I had a road accident in 2013, I was on a bike and was hit by a van, although there was no bones broken, my back hurt. Nothing the doctors did made it any better. Then, I was recommended Pilates by the hospital physiotherapists, and that moment altered the course of my life. After a few years of self practise I realised I wanted to take my Pilates to the next level. After having had a child, several years went by when all my focus went on just him and I realised I wanted something new that was just for me, this led me to starting on the journey to become a certified Body Control teacher. I named my business Thank U Pilates, because I am so grateful for finding something that could blooming fix me and wanted to share the love with the world. If I could give just one person the relief I got then I would of done some good in the world. Spread a little joy! #myjourneytopilates #pilateslife #pilatesinstructor #thankupilates #thankyoupilates

Pilates is the ultimate tool for that "opening up" feeling. The Science of "Summer Energy" You...

Why getting fitter in the summer actually supports your body long-term
Summer often gets framed as the worst time to focus on exercise — holidays, BBQs, disrupted routines. But from a physical point of view, it’s one of the most useful times to keep some consistency. In warmer months, we naturally move more. We walk further, sit on the floor or the beach, carry bags, travel more, sleep in unfamiliar beds, and spend longer periods sitting or standing in different positions. All of that places extra demand on joints, muscles, and the nervous system. When...

Don't Let the Joke Be on Your Body This April 1st! 🤡
Happy April Fools' Day! While today is usually reserved for hidden salt in the sugar bowl or "your shoelace is untied" pranks, there’s one trick we often play that isn’t nearly as funny: telling ourselves we’ll "just start again next week." We’ve all been there! I want to make sure you don't end up being the one getting pranked by your own aches and pains. The Science of the "Snooze Button": It’s easy to joke about skipping a session, but our bodies have a very literal "use it or lose it"...
